Technology Councils of North America Statement on U.S. Senate Re-Introduction of the Startup Act

  Santa Ana, Calif., January 23, 2019 – The Technology Councils of North America (TECNA), which represents approximately 50 IT and technology trade organizations throughout N. America, released the following statement from Brooks Raiford, Chairman of TECNA’s Public Policy Committee, regarding the introduction of the Startup Act by Senator Jerry Moran (R-KS).
 
“We applaud Senator Moran for his efforts to introduce the Startup Act. The legislation would enact meaningful changes to help address the growing challenges facing the tech industry to hire qualified workers. The bill leverages changes in high-skilled immigration, increases investments in universities and focuses on supporting tech ecosystems.
 
“We look forward to working with Senator Moran on this bill as it moves through the legislative process.”
