Technology Councils of North America Statement on President Trump’s Executive Order on Immigration
Santa Ana, Calif., January 30, 2017 – The Technology Councils of North America (TECNA) supports today’s statement issued by our federal public policy partner, CompTIA, regarding President Trump’s Executive Order on Immigration.
Skip Newberry, TECNA Chairman and CEO of the Technology Association of Oregon added:
“As an international federation of state and regional technology industry associations, TECNA shares the interests and concerns of those expressed by CompTIA regarding the recent Presidential Executive Order on immigration policy. We urge the administration and lawmakers to carefully balance the dual interests of national security with the long-standing benefits of fair and humane treatment of refugees, legal permanent residents, visa holders and others from around the world who strengthen our country in a variety of ways.”
