About

We unite tech career seekers, businesses, education institutions, and workforce organizations around a collective vision to improve the lives of Delaware residents and support a thriving tech sector in the state.  The Tech Council of Delaware leads the First State Tech Partnership (FSTP) in creating innovative workforce solutions and training programs that provide employers with skilled talent while also supporting underrepresented Delawareans with preparing for and launching careers in the tech industry.  FSTP is a collaboration between TCD, employers, educational institutions, tech workforce providers, and community organizations to close skills gaps, build diverse talent pipelines, and eliminate structural barriers that prevent underrepresented residents from connecting to, and thriving in, high-quality tech careers.

Additional Info

The Tech Council of Delaware launched the First State Tech Partnership (FSTP), a sectoral partnership for the tech industry in Delaware.  FSTP designed several earn-and-learn programs including the Bloom Energy Advanced Manufacturing (B.E.A.M.) Training Academy, Certified Cybersecurity Professional Program, and the Yes, We Tech! summer internship program for high school students.

The Council also created an operational infrastructure for the sectoral partnership by developing an attractive brand and logo; launching an FSTP website; procuring an applicant tracking system, program management software, and a durable skills curriculum; selecting a skills assessment tool; and forming strategic partnerships with industry-recognized companies that specialize in online technical training and tech certifications.
