The annual TECNA CEO Retreat is an excellent way for TECNA member CEOs and Executive Directors to get to know each other, share lessons learned and acquire new leadership skills and business development ideas. Our sessions respond to member needs and are designed to help CEO's grow their organizations.

This year’s retreat will focus on job fulfillment and trust.  Specifically, how do we focus on the parts of our jobs that fill us up, while also trusting our teams to achieve to their potential and enthusiastic about their roles?  How do we create a culture based in trust that is in a state of flow?

We will hear from two speakers.  Both will be incorporating discussion and some workshopping as well as some pre-retreat reading and assessment which will be sent to registrants.

 A lack of trust is the biggest expense for organizations. It may take years for a manager or an executive to develop the trust of his or her employees, but only moments to lose. Without trust, transactions cannot occur. Without trust, influence is destroyed. Without trust, leaders lose teams. Without trust, people lose sales. Without trust, organizations lose productivity, relationships, reputation, talent, customer loyalty, creativity, morale, revenue, and results. Indeed trust, not money, is the currency of business.

People seldom talk about trust as a competency to learn and practice. That is changing. Trust has found its way into the public limelight. From massive fraud in business to scandals in politics and athletics, the headlines point to a persistent problem of modern life and business—we’re lacking in trust.

Thom Singer is a certified partner with the Trust Edge Leadership Institute.  In this presentation he will explore how trust is measured and increased for individuals and teams. Before the conference all attendees will be asked to complete the Trust Edge assessment and the presentation will be customized to the TECNA audience.

The Venue

If that wasn’t enough, our stylish restaurants offer captivating views from every turn.

The Cost

Please note that your registration fee includes the nights of November 27 and 28 at the resort, plus 2 dinners and 2 lunches. You are separately responsible for your own travel to and from the resort and any additional activities food or beverages outside of the scheduled meals.

$2550 (includes room for 2 nights)

The deadline to register for the retreat is Friday, October 27, 2023, but we encourage early registration. The registration cancellation deadline to receive a refund is November 4, 2023.

Travel

Please book your travel to arrive at the resort by 4:30pm MST on Monday, November 27, so you can attend the Welcome Gathering & Speaker. Board Members, please arrive at the resort by 2:00pm MST on Monday. Please prioritize staying for the final morning’s session, and book your flights out of town Wednesday afternoon, November 29. 

The hotel is an approximately 40 minute car ride from the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX).

Guests

If you plan to bring a guest with you to the resort, they are welcome to join us for dinner. Please register your guests on TECNA’s website registration for dinner by Friday, November 10, 2023, so we can plan accordingly, there will be an additional cost.
